About Us

About the Bride:

Jenny in CapriI was born and raised in Saint Joseph, Missouri which is about 50 miles north of Kansas City, Missouri (not Kansas!!!- I take offense to this as we are die hard Mizzou fans). I enjoyed playing tennis, basketball, and you may have guessed… cheerleading!!!  I went to college at the University of Missouri- Columbia (Mizzou as we call it) for my undergrad and then went to The University of Missouri-Kansas City to complete my doctorate in pharmacy (Yes- Ted can officially say he is marrying a doctor) He He :-) After 7 years of education, as if this was not enough schooling, I decided to complete a residency in pharmacy practice at a teaching hospital in Kansas City. This is where I developed a passion for oncology  (a.k.a. cancer care),  which is what brought me to Colorado.  I moved to Colorado to pursue a one year residency in Oncology Specialty Care at the University of Colorado, and ended up falling in love with it… and not to mention a cute boy too!  The skiing, hiking, riding our bikes to the park, and the 300 + days of sunshine a year… what a wonderful place!  I currently work in an oncologist office as a clinical pharmacy specialist in oncology (wow, thats a  mouthful),  where I get to work with cancer patients on a daily basis. People always ask how I handle working in such a depressing area, but I really don’t see it that way at all.  I think we have the best patients, and as you can imagine, having cancer is one of the most frightening experiences you can have. I figure if I can somehow help these patients through this difficult time, whether it be helping to manage their pain, their nausea and vomiting, or even counsel them on their medications, then I have made a difference.  I find it very rewarding and patients are always so appreciative!

Although I love Colorado, I miss my family dearly. My parents, Mike and Diane, still live in Saint Joseph along with my youngest brother, Brian.  Brian, who is senior in high school this year, aspires to attend pharmacy school next year.  Mark, my other younger brother, is also a pharmacist and works at Target.  We always tease Brian for wanting to be a pharmacist like his older brother and sister, but deep down we think it’s pretty cool ;-)  My brothers are my best buds. We all are obsessed with anything Mizzou or Chiefs and find ourselves texting all day on game days, that is until the big games starts, then they cut me off! He He!  I love you guys!

About the Groom:

Ted was born and raised in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, which is about 30 miles outside of Pittsburgh.  Ted, as you can imagine, is a die-hard Steelers fan.  I can tell you if the Chiefs would have beat the Ravens this year in the playoffs and ended up playing the Steelers… it may have been a deal breaker! Just teasing although we both are very passionate about our teams!!!  Ted’s family also had a mountain house at Seven Springs, Pennsylvania since he was young, so Ted grew up skiing since he was 3 years old, which is why he is such an amazing skier!

Ted went to college at Penn State where he studied Computer Science and, from what I hear, had a really good time attending fraternity socials and going to football games :) After college, he moved to Colorado where his sister, Megan, and her husband, Brian, were living. Ted quickly got a job doing development with Brian and they continue to work together today!  In fact, they have a great team of friends that have all worked together over the years and still do so today!

Ted enjoys skiing, biking, park days, anything Penn State, Steelers or Penguins, and of course spending time with his adorable fiancee :-)
